The idea of F&H Country Cakes was conceived in 2014 when our first ever wedding cake was made for our daughter’s wedding. I loved making it so much that I decided to do it professionally. Over the next year I honed my baking skills, learned how to make wedding cakes the professional way and practiced my sugar skills for flower making. In august 2015 feeling ready to launch our little cottage wedding cake business I attended our very first wedding fayre! My daughter became involved with the legal, IT and marketing side of things whilst my husband very importantly became my shopper, car valet, chief chutney maker and financial backer!

As a keen allotmenteer, we use our own veggies in tangy chutneys as the perfect accompaniment to cheese wheels and carrots in our super moisty carrot cakes. Growing as much fruit as possible to make our own preserves and only use the best local free-range eggs, not just to bake our lovely cakes with but also to make our fruit curds.

We've come a long way in the last few years - taken part in several amazing photoshoots, visited many wedding fayres, won awards, written articles, featured in several magazines, widened our range of services and - of course – made lots of beautiful, delicious cakes satisfying many happy customers! We’ve become recommended suppliers to some lovely wedding venues and built a reputation as reliable makers of fantastic wedding and special occasion cakes.
